Welcome to The Acorn Lounge

Formerly known as our tourist information room, The Acorn Lounge has been pimped up, beautified and made into a really lovely social space for relaxing, meeting friends, old and new and  maybe partaking in a little drink or two. Although not welcome news for all, this new facility will be DOG FREE.  Everyone knows just how dog friendly Old Oaks is, with many facilities being specifically created for our 4 legged friends, however, this one is just for the humans.

The lounge is relatively small and would comfortably seat around 25- 30 people. Any more than this and things may get a little crowded. This is one of the reasons why dogs will not be allowed.

What guests can expect:

• Coffee machine
• Self-serve bar & self pay facility (smile, you’ll be on camera)
• Selection of bottled beers, ciders, mini wines / fizz, canned cocktails & spirits, soft drinks
• A few snacks to purchase
• Optional ice bucket during shop opening hours (9am to 7pm)
• Upgraded toilet facility
• Small glass washing machine for busy days
• Comfy sofa and armchairs plus bar stools and bench seating
• Tables for eating takeaway, playing games, having a coffee or a glass of wine
• Selection of games for guest use in the room
• Dart board
• Pool table
• Larger smart TV
• Book exchange
• Bluetooth speaker
• Mood lighting
• Free walking / cycling maps to take

Some additional information:

Old Oaks is a haven of peace and quiet and will remain so. Therefore, the doors will be open 9am to 10.30pm (or sooner if necessary).  It goes without saying that this will be a no smoking venue and that guests will be expected to respect the facilities provided to ensure that all guests can have a wonderful stay.  The lounge will be for guests staying at Old Oaks only.
