Campsite in Somerset with on-site fishing lake

Free fishing for all guests throughout 2017

Please note that due to a rather cute, but very hungry otter, our fish stocks have been slightly depleted.  However, many of our anglers have reported good fishing so far this year. We are currently looking at installing an otter fence as soon as other workload permits.  Fish stocks will be replenished in the Autumn.  Fishing throughout 2017 will be free of charge.

Nestled beneath Old Oaks campsite, with a view of Glastonbury Tor, our half-acre coase fishing lake is well stocked with carp, roach, tench and bream. It's situated less than 300 metres from many of our pitches with good access and parking within 20 metres for the less able.

Exclusively for our caravan park guests, fishing is only £3 per half day session or £30 for a week, providing great value sport in an idyllic environment.

Sessions during the early and late season (when the evenings are dark earlier) are dawn to 1pm and 1pm to dusk. Spring & summer sessions are dawn to 2pm and 2pm to dusk.

A haven for wildlife

Even if fishing's not your thing, the pond is still well worth a visit for it's beauty alone. The whole touring park is a haven for wildlife but nowhere more so than at the pond. Foxes, herons and even kingfishers are but a few of the animals that can be spotted here. See our wildlife page.
