New for Oct 2016 - Pick a Pitch
If you're an Old Oaks regular or returner, you'll know that we've always stated that specific pitch choices cannot be guaranteed. Well now, with the sheer volume of bookings and pitch requests we receive, not to mention the admin and juggling this involves, we thought it was time for a change.
From Oct 2016, you will now have the option to specify a particular pitch, for bookings of 4 or more nights (3 for cabins and glamping) and you will be safe in the knowledge that your pitch is guaranteed*. However, in order to manage this, a charge of £1 per pitch (£5 for glamping), per night will apply.
Please note this is an entirely optional service, however, priority on specific pitches will be given to those who have opted to use Pick a Pitch, over those who haven't.
Important ~ Old Oaks Store & Stay customers and Loyalty Club Members are excluded, ie. they may still request a specific pitch or area and will not pay the premium.
How to book online
Pick a Pitch is available for all booking methods. When booking online, simply check the Pick a Pitch box from the list. The relevant charge will be calculated (when you press 'update' at the bottom of the screen', and you will be able to specify your pitch choice on the 'misc details' screen. NB. Whether or not your desired pitch / area is actually available will not be known until your booking is completed and received by Old Oaks office (this can take up to 12 hours for out of hours bookings).
At this point, if your chosen pitch / area is not available, the relevant charge will be removed from your booking, unless you have specified an alternative. If no alternative has been specified, a member of staff will allocate another pitch within the same area if possible.
If we cannot fulfill your request (best to give 3 pitch options), and you have paid in full, a refund of the Pick a Pitch fee will be made in cash on arrival. In cases, where only a deposit was paid, the charge will be removed and the balance due will be automatically adjusted. A note will be added to your booking confirmation email that states that your pitch preference was not available.
What if I've already booked for 2017? Will I get the pitch I requested?
If you've already made a booking and specified a pitch, you have the option of adding Pick a Pitch, in order to secure your chosen pitch. Just send us an email to email@example.com and we'll add the charge.
Pick a Pitch is only available for bookings of 4 or more nights (3 for glamping accommodation).
*In exceptional circumstances outside of our control, for example when the previous occupant of your chosen pitch is taken ill and is unable to vacate the pitch on your day of arrival, another pitch will be allocated by the park and a refund of the Pick a Pitch charges will be made.
*We are all mere human beings :) Whilst we will try our utmost to ensure that you receive the specific pitch you have chosen, occasionally mistakes do happen.
